It was said they would climb to the tallest peak, where the air thinned to a needle’s edge, just above the corrosive haze of the electric city, and commune with the sun. They wouldn’t move for weeks. The sky was too heavy with metal dust to see their faces, but you could make out their jagged silhouettes, etched in firelight, at Dusk.
